There are simply no words to describe that voice -- he is the standard to which I will compare all Jean Valjeans from this day forward. He captivated from the start and brought tears to my eyes more times than I wish to admit. Simply Outstanding. (Written by "ladyracer23", 30th Aug 2006)

Colm Wilkinson has always been Valjean to me, but John Owen-Jones makes the character so much his own that it's impossible for me to compare him to Colm, like comparing apples and zebras. Such a great voice, and he's so convincing as Valjean, even though he's far from old. I'm so glad he came over to the US, where I live, but I feel sorry for the English fans he left behind. Superb, as usual! (Written by "S.Green (Guest)", 5th Jul 2007)
