Barry James is a wonderful actor, and he have a wonderful variety of roles not just from west end musicals. To every role he perform he bring a wonderful essence that makes the role much more magical. He has a great comic ability. I think that in Les Miserables, he playes the role of Thenardier better then anybody else (for all over the years), and every time I hear he comes back to the role - I am very happy. I think the next actor that is going to play this role will have very big shoes to get into. (Written by "charlie", 13th May 2006)
